Dr. Karina Tom is a pediatric dentist dedicated to creating positive, comfortable dental experiences for children and their families. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. She then completed her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, gaining extensive experience in comprehensive pediatric care, behavior guidance, dental trauma, sedation, hospital dentistry, and caring for children with special healthcare needs. Prior to dental school, Dr. Tom graduated magna cum laude from the University of the Pacific with a degree in Biological Sciences.
Dr. Tom believes in making dental visits fun, approachable, and individualized to each child. She especially enjoys building lasting relationships with families and helping children develop confidence and healthy habits that carry into adulthood. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys staying active, playing basketball and beach volleyball, traveling, and exploring Los Angeles.
